my body is a temple

my skin, my bones, muscle, and gut. Body image has always been something I’ve struggled harshly with- seeking to regain my autonomy. Through body modifications such as piercings and tattoos, I can reclaim a sense of ownership, through abstraction and horror, I can lend the viewer a glimpse at my own understanding of myself.
